Estes Park, Colorado

The day my mom flew home, we flew to Colorado. We were sad to see her go but also excited about our vacation. Zachary stayed home with his sisters at their house so it was a break for us and a good time to bond just as the three of us.

Mitch's entire family was there as his sister got married there. Frances was a flower girl. She did well although she did not throw any of the flowers down the aisle.

We had a great time hiking and hanging out with family. Mitch went horse back riding one day as well. I got to play cards with my sister-in-laws and nieces/nephews late into the evenings. Frances loved seeing the Elk but was disappointed that she didn't see a moose:) All in all, it was a great vacation!

Fun with Grandma

Well, June is almost over but it was fun! My mom was here for a week. We enjoyed time at the zoo, boating, and swimming in the backyard. One week just isn't enough but it was better than nothing. Frances and Zach both enjoyed having her here and miss her already. Here are a few pictures from that week.

Summer is here!

You know summer is close when I am actually getting in the water! We had a nice evening out on the boat last week. I can't believe how warm the water is already!

Camping Trip

Well, we spent the weekend camping with four other couples and their children. There were ten adults and nine children! Almost out-nmbered! We slept in a two room tent. The kids were each in their pack and plays on one side and we had the other. It worked fairly well except for naps one day...way too hot in the tent and much too exciting out of the tent! My favorite parts of the weekend were, in order, 1) visiting around the fire into the wee hours of the night. 2) going down the waterslide with Frances. 3) the food! We had camp pizzas over the fire and lots of smores! It was awesome!
