Baby update

Almost 25 weeks along! Had another Dr. appointment today and all looks great! Nice growth and heartbeat, no worries. I go back again in four weeks. Here is the most recent belly picture for those of you who live far away:) Some days I really look pregnant and others just fat. Today I found a pair of my regular jeans that fit. Not sure if they make me feel good about not being maternity or if they just make me look fat. O-well, what can a mom do? Happy St. Patrick's Day!

The shower works!

Frances got to take the first shower in the newly remodeled master bath! She has not been real fond of showers but the novelty of this apparently won over! So much fun to have two shower heads and a bench! We don't have our glass yet so we put up a curtain for now. I am also still shopping for the perfect hand held shower head for my side.

Pregnant Picasso?

For those of you who know me well...I am NO artist! But...I have been inspired by the fleece I bought for Frances' room. Here are the supplies I purchased yesterday to help me decorate her room (I am also not a decorator)! My hair got thicker with the first pregnancy, maybe I will become crafty and artsy with this one!
This afternoon I sat down with my supplies and got started. I spent two and a half hours working and during that time Frances also finger painted, played in the sink with water and cups, took a bath, went to the bathroom three times, played her leap pad, and ate two bowls of cereal! Here is what I got done!

Thanks to Mitch not getting out of work on time I even got everything cleaned up and have some supper planned! What a day!

Spring Showers?

Here is the beautiful shower thus far. Thanks to Gary helping get the floor grouted on Friday and then coming back Saturday to do some tile as well as Clinton coming on Sunday to finish the tile it is almost complete! Mitch wasn't very kind though as he told Clinton to do the ceiling since any dripping mortar would clean off his head better (note the bald guy in the picture):) That could be Mitch someday, pobably will be closer to it once it warms up again:) We are hoping to put the toilet back in place tonight. Not sure when we are going to get the rest of the shower grouted. We still need to have the glass guy come and measure/quote the door. The cabinets should be here within two weeks! Not sure what the plan is for the closet but as far as I am concerned that is a minor detail! I am so excited! Frances has really enjoyed helping out when she can. She is very good at removing the plastic spacers that go in between each tile. She even helped wash the grout off the tiles! Good practice for when we have to clean the bathroom!

Great Deal!

We just got home from the kids consignment sale held twice a year at the Seventh Day Adventist Elementary school here in town. I have gone for two years now and always find something good. We were not looking for anything in particular other than maybe some summer clothes for my growing girl (and myself as they have maternity as well). We did find some clothes for Frances and one shirt for me. We also found a leap pad! This is something Frances has always enjoyed playing with at the local library. She is just now getting old enough to really use it the way you are supposed to. This one came with a very nice storage/carrying case and 14 books/cartridges! They are mostly preschool-K with a couple 1-2 grade ones. I am so excited! Hopefully it will help us to pass the time on our next road trip without watching so many movies! Our other good find was a little doll named Precious. For those of you who are familiar with Cutie, she now has a sister! Precious did not come with clothes but she is so clean she looks brand new! We will find something for her to wear. If Cutie decides to get over her jealousy and quit hiding I will share a picture of them together:)

sleepy girl

Last night Frances fell asleep at the table for the first time ever. She was trying to eat her dessert of a really gooey rice krispy bar but just couldn't keep her eyes open. Despite the closed eyes and droppey hands, she continued to chew. We transfered her to daddy's lap where this continued for about 30 seconds and then it was over. Mitch refused to allow another picture since he was now in it. He is going to regret that someday! For now, he can get away with it. We put her to bed at 6:00! She was up at eight to go potty and needed a drink. When I went to bed at 10:00 I know she was in her room playing in the complete darkness (she does not have a nightlight). She slept until 8:00. Can't complain! What did I put in those krispy treats?

Sad Story:(

Here is what is left of our snowman:( All day yesterday we watched its head shrink smaller and smaller (it reminded me of Beetlejuice, Mitch doesn't remember that movie so now I feel compelled to go rent it and I am certain I will be ridiculed by him).
