first day of school

Frances was out of character and wouldn't let me take her picture. Then she acted clingy and didn't want me to leave. Today is day four and she is having a great time with some new friends.

Visti from Gramma

My mom was out here to visit over the past week. Her parents were driving to the East coast and gave her a ride. She had to fly home yesterday:( We had a great time while she was here. She had a new camera so there are lots of photos!!! We enjoyed boating, the zoo, Ringling Bros circus, the park and so much more! Thanks so much for the great visit mom!!!

The circus was great! Frances was occasionally mesmerized.

The zoo was fun as always. We saw the baby giraffe nursing!

Delaney absolutely loved the dessert exhibit, everything was at her level! She really wanted to grab the goats tail!

Frances actually got to pet a shark! They both cashed out on the way home!

More boating fun!

Gramma JoJO left the girls a message in the shower. We just found it today! (obviously no baths last night)

More camping

Later in August we went camping for real. We went for just one night due to rain on Friday. We arrived on Saturday just after lunch. It was a great time with friends for all...the adults, kids and even the dogs. We had some pretty crummy wood so it was very smokey but still warm. It got quite cool at night but everyone was well bundled. The older girls rode their bikes a ton! We went for walks. The men played disc golf. And we enjoyed great food!

August camping

One night in August Frances and I slept in the tent in the backyard. Not sure why I chose to use our small then but the queen size air mattress just barely fit in there. We really roughed it and brought out the laptop to watch a movie. We watched Space Buddies and ate popcorn. It was a fun time with just the two of us. Unfortunatly I had to go in the house a couple times in the night as Delaney was getting teeth:(

The next day Brayden came over and the kids just HAD to watch a movie in the tent. Such fun!
