Easter in NC

We had a great time visiting friends in NC for the holiday. Mitch unfortunately has caught some kind of illness as he has had a terrible "itch" since we returned:) Supposedly the only cure for this mystery illness is to get the boat out of storage and put it to use. Personally, I think if he is crazy enough to get in our lake the itch will be forgotten as his skin will be numb from the cold:) Guess that is the difference between love and passion!

While in NC we relaxed while the girls (Frances 3, Kasey 6, and Carlie 7) played nicely. We adults got to play our favorite card game many times and with wonderful results (the women won over 50%)! The weather was quite nice each day with one exceptionally nice day. Mitch borrowed a dry suit and went wakeboarding and surfing with his sweats on underneath (what a life). The lake was beautiful. Frances tried the water but decided it was too cold and this is coming from the girl that likes cold baths. The water temp was a mere 61 degrees.

Easter Sunday consisted of an egg hunt in the house bright and early (actually, it wasn't even bright yet, just early). We then attended a church service in the clubhouse of our friends neighborhood. After church we spent an hour and 15 minutes waiting for Frances to swallow a bite of chocolate dougnut (some of you know what I mean) and then everyone (and I mean everyone) took naps! We then enjoyed the beautiful weather some more! We were able to attempt fishing from the dock (no luck there) and France got to go for a jet ski ride with her daddy. Every time he accellerated she squealed with delight. I could hear her across the lake! Mitch also helped our friends put up their trampoline. Frances had a blast as did her daddy. This might have to be something we consider for our own yard!

Looks like a fun and relaxing time for the whole family. Frances looks adorable in her Easter "finery".
